Fleetwood Town are delighted to announce the signing of defender Max Clark has joined the club on a one-year deal, with the club holding an option for a further year.
Clark, who has been linked with top-flight clubs in the past, joins the Cod Army on the back of a stint with Eredivisie side Vitesse, where he played 57 times, found the back of the net three times, and assisted a further seven, as well as gaining experience in the Europa League with the side.
The defender started his career with his hometown team Hull City and after making 30 appearances in his breakthrough season, he would then go on loan to Cambridge United for two seasons, before leaving for the previously mentioned Dutch side, Vitesse.
The 25-year-old – who is Simon Grayson’s fifth signing of the summer – will be joining up with the rest of the squad when they return for pre-season at the end of the month.
