Fleetwood Town can confirm the appointment of Lee Kendall as the club’s Head of Goalkeeping.
The 40-year-old, who is one of only five goalkeeping coaches to hold a Welsh UEFA Pro-License, joins the Cod Army after a 12-year-long playing career with the likes of Crystal Palace, Cardiff City, and Shrewsbury Town as well as representing Wales at Under-21 level.
After finishing his playing career, he joined then Championship side Sheffield United as a coach working alongside the late Gary Speed before returning to Cardiff City to become their Head Academy Goalkeeping Coach. He then moved on to Bristol City becoming their first-team Goalkeeping coach.
Kendall has coach internationally with England Senior Women's national team and Wales Men’s Under-21s, Under-19s and Under-17s. In June 2019, Kendall covered a Senior Men's National team camp held in Cardiff.
The Welshman had spent the last three-and-a-half years working full-time at the University of South Wales where he was Head of Football and leading on their UEFA coach education programme.
Welcome to Fleetwood, Lee!
