Fleetwood Town can confirm that midfielder Jay Matete has joined Sky Bet League Two side Grimsby Town on loan until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old has featured for the Cod Army 13 times so far this season, with the 3-0 win over Aston Villa and a man of the match performance in the win at Gillingham in October.
