Fleetwood Town’s Under-18s pulled out a brilliant 3-0 win over league leaders Carlisle United at Poolfoot Farm on Saturday morning.
It was a dominant first-half performance from Simon Wiles’ side which set the tone at the club’s training complex, as they went into the break three goals up thanks to Will Johnson, Oli Leggett, and Covy Smith.
Challenging conditions plagued the game throughout the morning, but the young Cods came away with not only the three-goal lead but also a clean sheet at the other end of the pitch.
