Five of Fleetwood Town’s young players were on show for their respected loan sides over the weekend, with four of them featuring for the full 90 minutes – here’s how they got on.

Kendal Town signed three of our Development Squad players – Danny Edwards, Akiel Raffie, and Billy Batch – earlier on this month and they all started their league clash against Glossop North End, which ended in a 2-0 loss.

Harry Wilson also made an impact on his first appearance for Northern Premier League Premier Division side, FC United of Manchester, as the manager was impressed with his style of play for the hour he managed in their 2-1 win over top of the league Buxton.

Farsley Celtic were in action on Saturday, but fell to a 3-0 defeat to Southport in the FA Trophy. Tom Donaghy  started the fixture in goal and even with his best efforts, he couldn't keep the side in the tie.

It was a debut for young forward Covy Smith with Barnoldswick Town at the weekend as he came off the bench 56 minutes into their game against Winsford United and saw out the 2-2 draw at the Silentnight Stadium.

Tom Hoyle wasn’t in the match day squad for Bury AFC’s fixture against Campion on Saturday, but the game would eventually have to be abandoned due to extent of the fog over the pitch, making visibility an issue.

Congrats on the performances, lads!
