Fleetwood Town’s Community Trust have distributed 200 selection boxes to schools and care homes in the local area, which were donated by players from the football club.

A majority of the selection boxes were delivered to over 15 Primary Schools across Fleetwood and Thornton, including SEND Schools like Great Arley and Red Marsh.

The Trust have also delivered them to six different care homes within the area and will soon by given out to Refugee Children at the Jasmine Centre in Fleetwood in the New year given time and Covid-19 restrictions.

On top of this, some have gone to young fans recommended by our Supporter Liaison Officer, Wayne Bibby, and participants from our Football Development sessions.

Here’s a list of all the places that received the selection boxes:

Schools (Fleetwood): Flakefleet Primary School, Shakespeare Primary School, St Wulstans & St Edmunds, St Mary’s, Charles Saer, Larkholme, and Chaucer.

Schools (Thornton): Great Arley, Red Marsh, Stanah, Thornton Primary, Baines Endowed, Sacred Heart, Royles Brook, and Manor Beach.

Care homes and refugee centres: Westmoorlands Homecare, Nightingale Care, Alexandra Court, Fairhaven Care Home, Fleetwood Nursing Home, Thistleton Lodge, and Jasmine Centre.

This is yet another brilliant example of work being done by our Community Trust around Christmas time – well done to all involved!
