Fleetwood Town have had four players called up to Northern Ireland’s Under-21 setup, where they will be playing two UEFA U21 Euro qualifiers against Malta and Slovakia.
Forwards Chris Conn-Clarke and Paddy Lane will be joined by midfielders Barry Baggley and Carl Johnston on the training camp, with Paddy Lane being the only player to make his first appearance at this age group.
The group of players will head off to Northern Ireland on Sunday 29 August and will train until their away tie against Malta on Friday 3 September. After the game, they will travel back and face Slovakia on Tuesday 7 September before heading back to the Fylde Coast to join back up with the Cods.
John Schofield, Northern Ireland Under-21 manager, said on the group: "This is my first full camp in the role, and suffice to say I can’t wait to get started. I’ll be linking back up with players I’ve worked with previously as well as getting to know some new faces and members of staff who’ll be joining up for the first time.”
Great achievement for Barry, Chris, Carl, and Paddy!
