Fleetwood Town are delighted to announce the signing of forward Joe Garner on a two-year deal.

The vastly experienced striker has put pen-to-paper on a two-year deal following his departure from Apoel FC in Cyprus.

Garner, 33, is a proven goal scorer having fired more than 100 league goals during spells at the likes of Preston North End, Glasgow Rangers, Wigan Athletic, Ipswich Town, and Nottingham Forest.

It was at Preston where Garner helped Simon Grayson’s side to promotion from League One in 2014/15, firing 27 goals in a season which ended with play-off success.

Garner started last season at Wigan Athletic, firing seven goals in 14 games including two against Fleetwood in the EFL Cup before heading to Cyprus in January.

Following a successful stint with Apoel, where he netted eight in 11, he opted to return to England and once again link-up with Grayson at Highbury Stadium.

Garner will wear the number 14 shirt at the Cod Army and will meet his team mates on the completion of his compulsory travel isolation period this week.
