Fleetwood Town can confirm defender Sam Bird has joined National League North side Farsley Celtic on a month-long loan deal.
Bird, after playing a big part in the Under-18s success last season in winning the Youth Alliance title and reaching the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup, has since signed a professional deal with the club and has become a stable member of Stephen Crainey’s Development Squad this season.
The 18-year-old will join Adam Lakeland’s side who have five games in the next month, with a trip to Kettering Town up first on Saturday.
A home tie against Blyth Spartans soon follows, as the Celts also face York City, Spennymoor Town, and Alfreton Town before the loan move expires.
Good luck, Sam!
