Head coach Joey Barton has named his side for tonight’s EFL trophy tie with Aston Villa Under 21s at Highbury Stadium.
Jay Matete is in the starting line-up for the second consecutive game, making his home debut tonight, alongside Shayden Morris and Laurence Smith who are making their first senior starts. Goalkeeper Jayson Leutwiler makes his debut for the Cod Army as Paul Coutts captains the side.
Harvey Saunders returns to the side after scoring his first Sky Bet League One goal against Rochdale at the weekend. The forward is also looking to add to his EFL Trophy tally after scoring a brace against Carlisle in September.
