Fleetwood Town Juniors Under 16s Anchors Girls were crowned Lancashire Cup champions on Sunday afternoon after beating Blackpool at the County Ground in Leyland.
The Under 16s were the first Girls team to make it to a county final for Fleetwood Town and they made sure that they made the most of the occasion.
With COVID-19 measures in place, only one parent from each player was allowed to attend, but this didn’t affect the girls’ performance on the pitch in Leyland as they managed to put three past Blackpool meaning they would lift the trophy come full-time.
The club would like to congratulate all the Girls and coaches involved – what an achievement!
