Fleetwood Town's Under 18s lost 2-1 away at Accrington Stanley on Saturday 7 March in the Youth Alliance League.
It wasn't the start the Cod Army would have wanted, and Simon Wiles' team fell behind just 8 minutes into the match after a mistake in Stanley's final third.
Fleetwood responded well to the early goal and before half-time, they found themselves level thanks to a James Hill header from Barry Baggley's free-kick. Town started to control the game more after getting back into the match, but minutes before the interval, Accrington regained the lead to make it 2-1.
There were chances for Fleetwood in the second-half with Joe Collins, Enoch Takpe and Hill all going close to putting the ball in the back of the net, but it just wasn't to be their day in Accrington as they fell to their second defeat in the league this season.
The Under 18s are back in action on Wednesday 11 March at Poolfoot Farm, where they will face Carlisle United (1pm kick-off).
