Fleetwood Town’s official eSports team made the perfect start to their first league campaign back in the Virtual Pro Gaming league system.
FTFC eSports, who are currently playing in the Rookie B league, came up against JK Silvertown on Monday night and came away 7-0 winners.
It was a dominant performance from start to finish in the team’s first game of the season, and striker Seggy_22x picked up the man of the match after a brilliant performance.
Addison Boaler, Fleetwood’s eSports manager, said on the result: “It was a great start from the lads! Hopefully, we can carry this form into tomorrow’s fixtures in both the South Cup and Rookie B league.”
Aidan Wallace, the assistant manager, also commented: “I’m extremely proud of the boys. They kept the playstyle simple and played well from start to finish. With that win in the bank, we now move on to tomorrow’s fixtures.”
FTFC eSports are back in action on Tuesday 9 June as they have a South Cup tie against VPG Northside ES at 8:30pm, before a league fixture against FK Drina Zvornik which starts at 8:45pm.
