Fleetwood Town are happy to promote Level Playing Field’s latest initative, #TalkingSport, which help incorporate disabled fans who are currently stuck at home.

Football is back alongside test Cricket and F1 amongst other things. It almost feels like a bit of 'normality' is creeping back into all our lives, but sadly this isn't the case for many disabled fans.

While many are starting to venture back to shops and restaurants, some disabled people are continuing to shield in their homes, isolating themselves from the rest of their local community. Disabled people have stated that their wellbeing has been significantly affected by this isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the Office for National Statistics.

That is why Level Playing Field will be launching 'Talking Sport' a new outreach initiative led by their Fans Liaison team. Every day we work alongside Disabled Supporters Associations (DSAs), fans and sporting clubs throughout England and Wales to advocate for matchday equality.

They love talking about sport and this is why they are inviting any disabled people with a passion for sport who are feeling lonely, overwhelmed or just bored to get in contact via social media (Twitter, Instagram and Facebook) or email their Fans Liaison Officer Liam (liam@levelplayingfield.org.uk) to set up a video or audio call.
