Fleetwood Town’s Former Players Association (FPA) is hoping to restart monthly meetings at Poolfoot in September after the last one was held in March.

All former player meetings over the past few months have had to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic but FPA secretary Tony Collier wants to get them back on track and have meetings back on the first Thursday of every month, starting in September.

He explained: “With considerable regret, we had no option but to put the meetings on hold. We know that the opportunity for our members to meet up each month is something that those associated with the FPA very much look forward to.

“Now that restrictions have eased, we are looking potentially at restarting the meetings in September. We are very much aware of the safety of everyone who is likely to attend and with this in mind, we are confident that the get together can go ahead.”

Once a firm decision has been made regarding the meeting in September, all FPA members will be notified accordingly.
