Fleetwood Town are delighted to announce the signing of promising midfielder Isak Thorvaldsson on loan from Norwich City until the end of the season.
Thorvaldsson, 18, has been a star in The Canaries’ Under 23s side this season, featuring 13 times in Premier League 2, scoring once from midfield.
The youngster is also captain of the Iceland U19 team, where has he currently has nine caps to his name, scoring once against Albania in November 2019.
Head coach Joey Barton said on his latest Deadline Day recruit: “Isak is a player that we have been watching for a while, and when the chance came to bring him to our club, we jumped at it.
“He’s a tough tacking midfielder, who will bring competition to our squad. He’s impressed in Norwich’s U23s despite only being 18, and we look forward to seeing him bring that form into our group.”
