The popular 'Goalie Wars' was back in the February half-term, and it saw a number of young and enthusiastic goalkeepers test their skills against one another in a battle between the sticks.

Fleetwood Town have held four successful Goalie Wars since the Summer of 2019, and this week saw keepers from across the North West and afar test their handing and kicking skills against other fierce competitors.

There was plenty of talent on show from start to finish, but there could only be one winner in each of the four age categories.

Here is a list of winners from our February event:

U7s/U8s – Alfie Craig

U9s/U10s - Harry Wilkinson - who retained his title)

U11s/U12s – Caden McKechnie

U13s/U14s – Liam Atkinson

Ethan Rowley – who ran the Goalie Wars event said: “This is the fourth time we have hosted Goalie Wars, and the talent on show just gets better and better, meaning the competition is ultra-high.

“It goes to show how popular Goalie Wars is when you get young aspiring keepers from Morecambe, Blackpool, Chorley, Manchester, Liverpool and also from Newcastle to participate here at Poolfoot Farm.

“We are already looking to plan the next competition in the next school holidays, and I am sure it will be bigger and better than ever! Stay tuned as you will not want to miss out on it!”

The winners will receive a trophy and a FREE pair of KA goalkeeper gloves, so make sure you enquire today to find out more details about when the next event will take place.
