Following the Government decision to keep Lancashire in tier three of Covid restrictions, Fleetwood Town have been forced to cancel this weekend’s balloted test event during the Sky Bet League One game against Wigan Athletic.
The game will instead take place behind closed doors at Highbury Stadium, kicking-off as planned at 3pm.
The club are desperately disappointed with the news and will continue to plan for a test event when the area falls into either a tier two or tier one category.
We understand the tiering system will be reviewed by the Government on a regular basis and would urge supporters to continue to monitor the FTFC website and social media channels for further updates over the coming weeks.
