Goalkeeper Jayson Leutwiler spoke to the press after Tuesday’s goalless draw with Portsmouth in Sky Bet League One at Fratton Park.

Leutwiler – who has kept two clean sheets in a row for Fleetwood Town - made a string of vital saves throughout the game as the Cod Army come away from Fratton Park with a well-earned point.

Here’s what he had to say:

On the game…

“Yes, brilliant I think we showed desire and brotherhood. We were all sticking together, and I think we got the point we deserved.

“We knew they we going to be a strong side and we knew they were going to start the game well and I try to keep as much as I can out of the net.

“Their keeper made a brilliant save to keep the ball out of the net. I think over the whole game a draw is a fair result.”

On the squad’s recent performances…

“The more clean sheets you get the more chance you have of putting promotion on the table and I think the desire to keep the ball out of the net is always there.

“Something it works, sometimes it doesn’t but today worked well and last week it worked well so we’re really happy about it.

“At the moment everyone is pretty much healthy, the competition is really high and it does good for us.”
