Midfielder Callum Camps spoke to the media ahead of Fleetwood Town's trip to County Ground to face Swindon Town on Saturday.
Camps - who earlier today won the Sky Bet League One November Player of the Month award - has reached ten goals already this season and is looking to add to that tally before the New Year.
Here's what Callum had to say:
On winning November’s Player of the Month award…
“I’m buzzing about winning the award. I was told a bit earlier in the week and was told to stay quiet about it but now it’s been announced, I can talk about it and be happy about it.
“I told my dad about it, didn’t want to tell too many people because word gets about quick, so I tried to keep quiet and didn’t really say much. I had a chat with my dad a few weeks ago and he said that he thought I would get it, but I wasn’t overthinking it and just let it be.
“There was a good group of players nominated and there’s a lot of good teams in our league at the moment so to be picked out of all the players available, it’s a good achievement.”
On his goalscoring form…
“Earlier on in my career, most of the goals I did score were from 20-25 yards and with most of my goals recently being around the box.
“I said to the Gaffer that I need to start shooting from further out and scoring as that’s what I used to do. Obviously, the ones I tried last month went in, so it seemed to work.
“If I have a lot of time to think about a shot, I might end up overthinking it and miss so, for me, it’s just off instinct. If I can get a shot away without thinking about it then it can catch everyone off guard.”
