Fleetwood Town’s Former Players Association (FPA) can confirm that they are expecting their monthly meetings to start again on Thursday 1 October at Poolfoot Farm.

The meetings – which take place at Poolfoot Farm – have been called off in recent months due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but with case numbers dropping, the FPA are looking at starting up their monthly get-togethers again on the first Thursday of October.

As the former players haven’t been together since March, they are all raring to go and get chatting about times gone by again very soon.

Phil Brown, Association Vice-Chairman, said: “We’ve been keen to resume meetings as soon as we were able to and we now feel it will be safe to do so from October.

“Assuming nothing changes therefore in terms of Government guidelines etc, our first meeting back will be Thursday 1 October at 10am at Poolfoot Farm.

“Both the football club and the Association will take all measures possible to ensure the meeting environment is safe for our members.

“Whilst we’ve tried to stay in touch with as many members as possible during the period of lockdown, it will be fantastic to see everybody once again face to face.”

If you are looking to attend, and need more information, contact the FPA chairman Stuart Murdoch by emailing stuart.murdoch@fleetwoodtownfc.com.
