Fleetwood Town have appointed Wayne Bibby as their new Supporter Liaison Officer (SLO).
Wayne has supported Fleetwood since he was young and is well-known around the area. He used to be a long-term DJ for local club Broadway and created links with Cod Army supporters when he was behind the decks.
He has lived in Ellesmere Port over the last 18 years but his passion for the club dragged him back to the Fylde Coast to help outside his childhood team.
Wayne said: “I’m ecstatic to be home in Fleetwood, and I can’t wait to learn more about the fans and the club as a whole. To come to work and have a job like this, it’s a dream come true.
“This club means a lot to me, and so does the town! It’s fantastic to see so many familiar faces and to have them come up to me and welcome me back – it feels great."
The SLO will provide a vital link between the fans and the club and provide a friendly welcome to visiting supporters to Highbury Stadium.
Look out for Wayne on match days, he will be based in Jim’s Bar but will also be around the ground during the match.
