Fleetwood Town's Wrens Ladies opened their North West Womens Regional League with a 4-1 defeat against Morecambe Ladies on Wednesday night at Wren Rovers.
After progressing into the Women's FA Cup first qualifying round following a 5-1 win on the road at Tameside United, it was a return to the league action where the Ladies team played at home against North West side, Morecambe Ladies.
It wasn't the start the side would have wanted, however Lauren Oatley - who scored a brace against Tameside United in the Preliminary round of the Women's FA Cup - got Town's goal against The Shrimps with a well taken finish.
The Wrens Ladies team will go again on Sunday 8th September against Tranmere Rovers, with kick-off at 12pm at School Road. The address for the venue is: School Road, Blackpool, FY4 5DS, Lancashire.
The reserves are playing after the first team on the 8th September (2pm) at the venue above, with Haslingden Ladies being their opponents.
