Fleetwood Town Wrens Ladies lost out to Wigan Athletic at Deans Trust Sports College on Sunday afternoon.
Dave Butler’s ladies haven’t started the season the way they wanted as they are still searching for their first win of the new campaign after playing four games.
The Latics had a strong first-half against the Cod Army as Vicky Fraser managed to bag a brace, alongside goals from Tamara Hamer and Becky Lea, before Jennie McGill pulled one back for Fleetwood just before the break.
The home side started the second half off the better with Fraser scoring her third goal of the game before Freya Millener bagged a second-half brace to finish off the game.
The Wrens Ladies first team are back in action on Sunday 20 October as they are set to take on Haslingden Girls & Ladies in the last 16 of the Lancashire Cup (2pm kick-off).
