Fleetwood Town’s Under 17s played out a goalless draw in the Clarets Cup against Hull City on Tuesday.
The Under 17s – who beat Barnsley in the Clarets Cup last month – were unable to break through the Hull backline in a well fought cup tie at Poolfoot Farm.
The young Cods don’t normally struggle to score goals in their games, as they have managed to score nine goals in just four cup games this season, but it seemed like it wasn’t meant to be against The Tigers.
Simon Wiles’ side are back in action on Saturday 5 October in the Youth Alliance Cup against Carlisle United at Poolfoot Farm (11am kick-off).
