Fleetwood Town defender Harry Souttar shone on his debut for Australia, as he scored twice in their 5-0 win over Nepal on Thursday.
The on-loan defender scored a goal in each half in the Socceroos’ World Cup Asia Group B match in Canberra.
The six-foot-six centre back opened his account inside 25 minutes, as he towered above everyone to head in Craig Goodwin’s corner, to make the score 3-0 at half-time.
The defender doubled his tally nearly ten minutes into the second half when his header was deflected in by a Nepal defender.
Australia and Souttar now head to Chinese Taipai on Tuesday, a side who lost 2-0 to Nepal in their last qualification match.
