Fleetwood Town midfielder Kyle Dempsey spoke following his sides 1-0 victory over MK Dons on Saturday at Highbury Stadiu.

The Cod Army dominated the entirety of the game, however left it until the final 10 minutes to claim all three points, with Ched Evans scoring from close range.

Joey Barton’s side had a number of opportunities to kill the game in both halves, and finally made it count when Evans prodded home following a defensive mistake from the visitors.

Here is what Man of the Match Dempsey had to say following the victory:

On the match…

“It was frustrating at times. They were ready to sit back and get the draw, but we kept knocking.

"That’s the most dominant game we’ve had this season in terms of possession and forward passes. With the quality that we’ve got, we’re always going to score goals.”

On his position in the team…

“I literally couldn’t be happier on and off the field. I’m playing with such a confidence, and the gaffer has put his trust and belief in me and since I’ve come into the team. I’ve showed that I can play week in week out for him.

“We’ve built a great relationship now and all I can do is keep playing with the confidence that I am to help the team get three points.”

On playing alongside Paul Coutts and Jordan Rossiter…

Throughout my whole career, I’ve never played in a midfield as dominant as this. Playing alongside the likes of them two brings my game on even further, and as you can see by my performances, they are really helping me to push on.

“We’ve got such a good relationship with three different types of players, and it’s working a treat!”

On next Saturday’s match against Bolton…

“We just have to take each game as it comes, we’ve had a great start and all we can do is look to next Saturday and try and get the three points”
