Fleetwood Town are pleased to announce that Laurence Smith and Harrison Holgate have signed new contracts with the club.
Midfielder Smith and defender Holgate - both aged just 18 - have put pen-to-paper on one year contract extensions, keeping them at Highbury until the summer of 2020.
Both players have impressed for the club’s Development Squad this season, and have been named as substitutes for the first team in Sky Bet League One.
Head coach, Joey Barton said: “It’s good to see that both Laurence and Harrison have signed for another year with us at Fleetwood Town.
“Both players have a lot of work ahead of them, but have shown good qualities in training and Development Squad matches which has seen them named in matchday squads for the first team.
“We look forward to seeing their development over the next 12 months.”
