On Saturday 6th October 2018, Fleetwood Town travelled to Doncaster Rovers in the league, and came away 4-0 winners at the Keepmoat Stadium.

The match against Doncaster was Town’s sixth away game of the 2018/19 season, and it was one that started brightly for the Cod Army as they took the lead early on in the match.

Ched Evans opened the scoring for Joey Barton’s side after winning a penalty from being tackled inside the box. Evans stepped up, and slotted his penalty kick past the keeper to make it 1-0.

James Wallace doubled Town's lead to make it 2-0 after his header hit the post before finding its way in the goal. Shortly before half-time, Ashley Eastham headed home Ross Wallace's corner, giving Fleetwood a three goal lead heading into the interval.

And with five minutes played in the second half, Ash Hunter wrapped up the game after a defensive error allowed the 24-year-old to run through on goal, allowing him to calmly slott the ball past the goal keeper to seal a fantastic away victory, backing up the emphatic 5-0 win away at Scunthorpe in August.
