Fleetwood Town’s Academy will be taking part in the Pro Academy Tournament Elite International Cup at Poolfoot Farm next weekend.
The elite tournament – that is taking place at the club’s training ground – will run from Saturday 18th May to Sunday 19th May and will see 16 teams face off, in two groups of eight, to see who can become champions.
Town’s under 10s are in Group A alongside Premier League academies from Juventus, Manchester City, Swansea City and Sheffield United. Also, UFA (Holland), Hackney Wick and SMS Academy will be in Fleetwood’s group.
Group B will consist of Inter Milan, Manchester United, Slask Wroclaw, Wigan Athletic, The Swans (Swansea City), Preston North End, Fylde Coast and London Elite Youth.
All of the group games will be played on the Saturday, and the results from those games will decide who goes into the Gold Cup (top four from each group), or the Silver Cup (bottom four from each group).
Starting with a round of eight at 9am on Sunday, the knockout stages will be on throughout the morning and will lead up to the Gold Cup and Silver Cup finals at 11am.
