On loan Stoke City defender Harry Souttar played 90 minutes for Australia U23s in their 2-2 draw with South Korea in the 2020 AFC Championship qualifiers.

The 20-year-old – who has featured for Scotland at U17 and U19 level – qualifies for The Socceroos as his mother was born in Australia, and has featured in the last two games for the Aussie outfit.

Souttar was named in the starting eleven for their match against Chinese Taipei at the weekend, which saw them win comfortably 6-0, with the centre half getting an assist on his debut for the national team.

He started again for Australia in their final match against South Korea's U23s this afternoon, but could only see his side draw 2-2. Souttar and his team mates will now wait to see if they qualify for the 2020 AFC U23s Championship in Thailand.

The defender will now make his way back to the Fylde Coast for Fleetwood Town's Lancashire derby match against Accrington Stanley on Saturday afternoon.

Safe journey back, Harry!
