On this day in 2015, David Ball scored that goal against Preston North End that he and the football club would remember for a very long time.
On Sunday 29th March 2015, former Fleetwood Town forward David Ball scored that wonderful goal against Lancashire rivals Preston North End at Highbury Stadium.
Ball - who now plays his football at fellow League One side Bradford City - saw his goal nominated for the 2015 Puskas Award, lining up against the likes of Barcelona's Lionel Messi, Juventus' Carlos Tevez, and AC Milan's Philippe Mexes', who scored an unbelievable goal against Inter in the Milan derby.
Unfortunately, Ball's goal didnt go on and win the award, but it was a proud moment for the striker, and the whole Fleetwood Town Football Club.
