Fleetwood Town mascot Captain Cod had a rival on Saturday when he came face-to-face with his nemesis, Captain Carp.
A group of lads from Yorkshire came to the Fylde Coast on a stag do, and decided to come and watch Fleetwood take on Plymouth Argyle in Sky Bet League One.
Dave Huston – whose stag do it was - was given a carp costume to wear by his friends for the day, and with this surprise, we had to let him meet the number one fish in town, our very own Captain Cod.
The group were made more than welcome at Highbury with a table at Red and Whites before the game. They enjoyed themselves in Jim’s Bar after the game, celebrating Town’s victory over the Pilgrims.
