Fleetwood Town’s Under 23s conclude their pre-season campaign on Tuesday night when they travel to Evo-Stik Premier side Ashton United.
Stephen Crainey’s side picked up a 3-2 victory at Bala Town last Friday night, with Michael Fowler, Harvey Saunders and Carl Johnston grabbing the goals.
Kick-off at Hurst Cross is at 7:30pm, with Crainey looking to build on the performance shown in Wales on Friday.
“Friday was a really physical game for the lads, which they came through well,” said Crainey.
“It was a deserved win in the end, with Michael, Harvey and Carl taking all three goals really well in difficult conditions, along with the 4G pitch.
“What has been good to see is the involvement of the younger players from the Under 18s team, as well as the attitude by some of the lads who have featured for the first team over pre-season.
“We’re looking to end our pre-season campaign with a win on Tuesday against a difficult Ashton side.”
Should any supporters wish to attend the match at Hurst Cross, tickets are priced at £5 for Adults, with Under 12s free with a paying adult.
