Fleetwood Town head coach Joey Barton has named his squad for the final pre-season friendly of the 2019/20 campaign against Preston North End.
Barton’s side have just over a week until their opening Sky Bet League One fixture against Peterborough United, and after the impressive display against Premier League side Burnley in midweek, the Cod Army will look to recreate that form this Friday evening.
The Lilywhites have new signing David Nugent raring to go after he rejoined the club following his spell at fellow Championship side, Derby County. Alex Neil will be wanting to give his players close to 90 minutes, with their first match of the new season against Millwall at The Den.
