Fleetwood Town head coach Joey Barton has named his 18 man squad for their first game of 2019 against Sam Ricketts’ Shrewsbury.

Barton has made two changes to the side that started the game against Portsmouth at Highbury with James Husband and James Wallace come into the starting eleven. This means Dean Marney misses out due to suspension, with Ash Hunter dropping to the bench.

Paddy Madden and Ched Evans remain up top, with both finding the back of the net in the last fixture against Portsmouth.

The Cod Army will have to beat a Salops side in good form at home – eight unbeaten in all competitions – to get back to winning ways on the road, but we have seen them go to places like Doncaster, Sunderland and Scunthorpe and put in a good performance, whilst picking up a positive result.

Here is the team that the head coach has chosen for the match:

Town’s XI: Cairns (GK), Coyle, Eastham, Burns, Evans, Madden, Morgan ©, R. Wallace, Husband, Biggins, J. Wallace.

Subs: P. Jones (GK), Holt, Dempsey, McAleny, Bolger, Hunter, Sheron.
