All at Fleetwood Town were saddened to hear this week of the passing of two of our former players, Bert Hession and Tom White.

Bert played for Fleetwood FC between 1957 and 1959 having joined from Stockport County. He played 66 first team games in two seasons scoring three goals before joining Lytham FC. He sadly passed away earlier this month at the age of 85.

Tom joined Fleetwood FC as player-manager in the summer of 1972 following a long career in both England and Scotland at clubs including Raith Rovers, St Mirren, Hearts, Aberdeen, Crystal Palace, Blackpool, Bury and Crewe Alexandra. He played 59 games for Fleetwood over two seasons, scoring 10 goals before leaving in the summer of 1974. He later became a director of Blackpool FC and briefly their caretaker manager. He passed away earlier this week aged 80.

Both Bert and Tom were proud members of our Former Players Association and they will be sadly missed by their Association colleagues.

Our club would like to send our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Bert Hession and Tom White at this very sad time.
