Fleetwood Town hosted a ladies day charity event on Sunday in memory of Scarlett Bunn, with all proceeds going to PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide charity.

The event took place on Sunday 4th August at Highbury Stadium in the Parkside Suite, and it was to raise awareness of young suicide, as well as raise money for the designated charity, PAPYRUS

Along side the afternoon tea, there was live entertainment as well as food and drink stalls, a raffle and fizz on arrivals for all the guests who attended the event, and all money that was raise - with the ticket money - will go to the amazing charity.

Karen and Meghan White organised the event and said on record that they want to thank the staff and Fleetwood for their generosity, and their kindness with the financial side of things, and the donated raffle prizes.

They added: "We have raised £3,425 so far for a worthwhile cause and money keeps coming in to this day. The charity we chose in Scarlett's memory was PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide, and if we can make a difference to people who might be suffering, we will more than do what we can.

"With the help from Fleetwood Town, Scarelett's family are already suggesting we do something again next year at the club. We can't thank you enough for your help in the build up to the event, and also on the day."
