Fleetwood Town can confirm that they have appealed against the red card awarded to Harry Souttar at Barnsley on Saturday.
Souttar was shown a straight red card by referee Sebastian Stockbridge in the 65th minute at Oakwell, following a challenge with Cameron McGeehan.
A further statement will be communicated following the outcome of the appeal.
