John Brooks will be the man in the middle for Fleetwood Town’s Fylde Coast derby against Blackpool on Saturday.
The Englishman has been in charge of 12 games so far this season, with only one of them being Sky Bet League One ties. Johnson has, so far, handed out 45 yellow cards and three red cards.
The last time he officiated a Fleetwood game was back in October 2017, when they drew Rochdale 2-2 at Highbury Stadium. Goals from Ashley Eastham and Devante Cole earned Town a point that day.
Johnson’s last meeting with The Seasiders was also a 2-2 draw when they faced Plymouth last December. The game at Bloomfield Road saw the referee hand out just one yellow card to Blackpool’s Curtis Tilt.
Philip Dermott and Akil Howson will be running the lines on Saturday, with Peter Gibbons acting as the fourth official.
