Fleetwood Town’s Under 9s visited Premier League side Manchester United’s Littleton Road training ground to play their category one side on Saturday.
The young cods – who regularly play category three teams – traveled to the facility used by Manchester United, which has hosted players like Ryan Giggs, David Beckham, and Paul Scholes in the past, and tested themselves against The Red Devils’ young side.
The young players thoroughly enjoyed their day at the complex as they played only their second fixture against a Premier League academy, having visited Everton last month. All Foundation phases, ranging from under 9s to under 12s, are due to travel to Manchester City over the course of the next two weeks.
