Head of Player Development Stuart Murdoch looks back over the last 12 months and goes over the successes young Town players have had both at the club and on loan.

Town have had many players sent out on loan this season in order to advance their careers and get them acquainted with first-team football.

Two young Fleetwood players - Dan Mooney and Lewis Baines - certainly enjoyed the play-offs this season as they were part of the side that took Ashton United up to the National League North after beating Grantham Town in the Evo-Stik Premier play-off final.

Goalkeeper Matt Urwin also helped guide Matt Jansen's Chorley to the play-off places after a fantastic season between the sticks. Unfortunately for the side, they suffered last-minute heartbreak at Harrogate Town in the semi-finals of the National League north semi-finals.

Other players like Ashley Nadesan, Alex Reid and Michael Donohue went out on loan to Carlisle United, Solihull Moors and Tamworth respectively and enjoyed very successful spells.
