Two years on from work experience at Crossbar & Grill, young chef Alex Clarke has taken on a full-time role at the club's training ground.

Alex's journey for the club started with his two weeks work experience placement and since leaving school, he has worked for the club for several years and started off working as a Kitchen Porter.

After years of hard work and dedication, and the desire to learn, Alex was put through various exams and courses including Food Hygiene to help aid his experience in the kitchen.

With more qualifications, came more responsibilities which sees Alex part of the team that provides high quality food for the first team, development squad and academy players.

Stacie Smith, the Food and Beverage Manager at Crossbar and Grill said: "Alex has worked incredibly hard and has been so eager to learn since his job as a Kitchen Porter.

"It's great to see so much determination in someone and I'm happy as a club that we are able to help people with this attitude grow, and fulfil their career goals.

"We are extremely proud to have Alex as part of our team, and it has been amazing to see him be so successful and I can't want to see more."

Alex is very grateful of the opportunities he has been handed and added: "Stacie saw potential in me and saw that I wanted to learn.

"I love working for Fleetwood Town and for Crossbar & Grill, and I am really happy to see how far I have progressed since being here."
