Fleetwood Town are delighted to confirm that young goalkeeper Billy Crellin has been called up to the England U18 squad for their upcoming friendly matches.
Crellin – who was part of the U17 FIFA World Cup winning squad last year – has been named in Neil Dewsnip’s 20-man squad for the games against Qatar, Argentina and Belarus this month.
The 17-year-old made his England U18s debut last September against South Africa, before representing the U17s twice in October against New Zealand and Iraq – the latter being a group stage victory at the World Cup.
The Young Lions face Qatar at St. George's Park in their first game on Wednesday 21 March, in a return fixture from the one last season’s U18 group played in Doha.
It’s then a match against Argentina, on Friday 23 March, with the young South Americans travelling with their senior team as they face Italy in Manchester later the same day.
Their final game comes against Belarus at St. George's Park on Monday 26 March.
Well done again, Billy!
