Fleetwood Town goalkeeper Billy Crellin starred for England's U18s on Friday as the beat Argentina 2-1 in Manchester.

Crellin made his full debut for the U18s, after featuring off the bench against South Africa last September, as well as making two caps for the U17s last year.

The Young Lions scored two second-half goals to turn the game around at the Academy Stadium, after Argentina dangerman Gonzalo Moroni of Boca Juniors had put the visitors ahead in a largely equal first half.

They got themselves level early in the second half though, when Manchester City’s Ian Poveda-Ocampo equalised on his home ground in the 52nd minute with his second goal in two games, following a strike against Qatar on Wednesday.

And England took the lead with 12 minutes remaining through an own goal from the South Americans, who will be hoping their senior team enjoy better luck when they face Italy at the Etihad Stadium on Friday evening.

England will be back in action again on Monday when they play their third and final game of the week against Belarus.
