There will be nowhere bigger and better to watch England’s bid for World Cup glory than at Poolfoot Farm.

Thornton’s state-of-the-art community sports complex is showing every game from Russia 2018, and not only inside the stunning Crossbar & Grill sports bar and restaurant but also outdoors on a huge 11m2 screen.

A fabulous new viewing area and beer garden has been created especially for the tournament, which kicks off on Thursday June 14.

This means football fans can relax in the sunshine and watch the live action on what will be the biggest outdoor screen anywhere on the Fylde coast.

And alongside a brand-new menu, and a host of special food and drink offers, families will be able to make use of the children’s Play Park and Football Pitches ABSOLUTELY FREE on England match days.

Poolfoot Farm is the £9m training base of Sky Bet League One Fleetwood Town FC, and boasts unrivalled sports facilities that are used by the community seven days a week.

Steve Curwood, Fleetwood Town’s chief executive, said: “There will be nowhere better to watch the World Cup than at Poolfoot Farm. And with a 11m2 screen now installed there will be nowhere showing it as big outdoors either!

“We are very proud of Poolfoot and the amazing facilities on offer here. Hundreds of local people come here each week to play sport and relax in Crossbar & Grill and so we wanted to create a unique experience for the World Cup.

“We have a wonderful new beer garden area and the big screen will be positioned right in front of it, so families will be able to come here, relax in the sunshine and watch the action.

“We are also unveiling a brand-new menu in time for the first game on Thursday June 14 and will have a number of special food and drink offerings, which will not only make this the best place to watch the match, but also offer incredible value for money.

“Fleetwood Town prides itself on being a real community club and Poolfoot has become a hub for local people who play sport, or simply want to relax in a very family friendly atmosphere.

“Hopefully we can cheer England on to glory together!”

As well as a sumptuous new menu, Crossbar & Grill staff have created a range of special offers linked to the countries playing that day.

Richard Shorrock, Fleetwood Town’s Food & Beverage Manager, said: “We already deliver a real quality food and drinks offering here at Poolfoot, but we wanted to do something unique for the World Cup.

“We will be offering a range of daily specials themed to the games that day, from German Bratwurst and beers to Mexican tacos and, of course, fish and chips, so we cannot wait for the tournament to start.

“There really will be nowhere quite like Poolfoot where football fans and families can relax, unwind and enjoy all the thrills of the World Cup.”

The World Cup kicks off at 4pm on Thursday June 14 when hosts Russia take on Saudi Arabia.

England’s three group games are versus Tunisia (Monday June 18th at 7pm); Panama (Sunday June 24 at 1pm) and Belgium (Thursday June 28 at 7pm).
