Fleetwood Town is introducing more payment options for the club’s new Onward Card.

Following feedback from supporters, the club have decided to offer two further ways of showing your long-term commitment to the Cod Army.

The card – which replaces traditional season tickets and allows fans to affordably spread the cost of watching the Cod Army across the year – has already been popular with fans following a record high number of sales on the opening day.

As well as access to all 23 Sky Bet League home games each season, the Onward Card allows fans to enjoy exclusive invite-only events throughout the year, a string of discounted offers with a range of partners, and automatic renewal for the following season.

Onward Cards are available via a fee-free direct debit scheme for as little as £6 per month for Under 16s, £12 per month for Seniors and Under 25s and just £17 per month for an Adult.

This makes it the third lowest priced ‘season ticket’ in the entire Football League.

And, following talks with a number of supporters, the club is now introducing two alternative payment options:

  • Credit or debit card – Fans can pay the annual amount (from £170 for adults, £120 for Seniors & Under 25’s, £60 under 16s) in advance, online or in person, with no extra charges. Fans who choose to pay by this method will be able to automatically renew their Onward Card each season.
  • Cash – Fans can buy their Onward Card by paying the full amount up-front. This option is subject to an administration fee (£30 for adults & seniors, £15 for under 16s).

Fleetwood Town Chairman Andy Pilley said:

“The ethos of the Onward Card is to provide the best and most affordable options for our loyal fans.

“We spoke to fans following the initial launch and we’re happy to ensure everyone can sign-up for a card with the new ways of purchasing.

“Our supporters are very important to us and their opinion matters in everything we do. The club prides itself on being a community club and we’ll always listen to the views of our fans.

“We launched the Onward Card with the complete aim of giving people the chance to spread their payments over a year while supporting the club on an automatic renewal basis, much the same as a gym membership.

“We maintain that purchasing the Onward Card via direct debit really does provide the best value for our fans, with absolutely no administration fees or interest charges.

“This is quite simply about getting more people engaged with our wonderful club, as we grow from strength to strength, and we will continue to encourage our fans to become Onward Card holders as we celebrate the town’s motto and move Onward Together.

“This season is going to be very exciting. Our new manager Joey Barton has started work this week and there is a huge buzz around the club.

“We want to see more and more people at Highbury Stadium week in, week out. Cod Army supporters are incredibly loyal, and we look forward to seeing that support grow.”

Existing season ticket holders have until 5pm on Monday June 18 to secure their seats and purchase their new Onward Card. After this date, their seat will be available to purchase on general sale.

The additional payment methods for the Onward Card will be available from 9am Friday June 8.

All your Frequently Asked Questions, and details on how to make your purchases will be published ahead of Friday's sale date.
