Fleetwood Town are delighted to confirm the signing of experienced central defender Craig Morgan from Wigan Athletic.
The 33-year-old has signed a two-year deal with the club, after making over 450 appearances in his career at Wigan, Rotherham United, Peterborough United, MK Dons and Wrexham.
Morgan has been capped 23 times by Wales, as well as representing his country at U17, U19 and U21 level.
Known for his leadership skills on and off the pitch, Morgan enjoyed back-to-back promotions with both Peterborough and Rotherham, as well as being club captain of Wigan for the last two seasons.
Morgan becomes Joey Barton’s third signing of the summer, following Eddie Clarke’s more from Tranmere, and Jason Holt joining on loan from Rangers on Monday.
