Fleetwood Town are delighted to announce the signing of experienced midfielder Dean Marney on a two-year contract.
The 34-year-old joins the Cod Army after eight years at Burnley, where he made over 200 appearances for The Clarets.
Marney won promotion to the Premier League twice under Sean Dyche in 2014 and 2016, and played 21 matches in England’s top flight in the 2016-17 season.
A tough midfielder who is known for his excellent distribution, Marney also played alongside Town’s head coach Joey Barton whilst at Turf Moor, with the pair now linking up at Highbury.
Dean will wear the number 25 shirt whilst at Highbury.
