Joey Barton has named his side to face Sky Bet League Two side Tranmere Rovers in Saturday’s pre-season friendly at Prenton Park.
Former Rovers player Eddie Clarke will start against the side he helped win promotion back into the Football League last season. New signing Ched Evans is named on the bench, with James Wallace and Chris Long travelling to the game, but the two will not be involved.
